It is with profound sorrow and deep love that the family of Laurie Sue Stevens announces her passing from this life and into the blessed arms of her beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the age of 62. A devoted wife, a cherished mother, and a beloved grandmother, Laurie graced the lives of all who knew her with warmth, steadfast love, and quiet, enduring strength.
Laurie was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, spent her childhood and college years in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. After graduating, she moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she met and married her husband, Kenneth. Laurie and Kenneth later moved to Alpharetta, Georgia, in 2019, and more recently to Grovetown, Georgia, in 2023, to remain close to their children and grandchildren. She was a constant source of light and comfort to her family, and her memory will be treasured beyond measure by all who were blessed to call her their own.
Laurie is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth Stevens; her three sons, Ricky Heery, Chandler Heery, and Paul Lindquist (Heather); her grandchildren, Genevieve, Annemarie, Penelope, and Eleni, daughters of Paul and Heather, and Harper, daughter of Chandler; her beloved mother, Virginia “Ginny” Shepler; and her siblings, Andrew “Andy” Bjorklund (Irena “Renie”), Joan Shrofe (Larry), Julie Grunewald, and Steven Bjorklund (Sherry). She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Bjorklund.
