Zack Patrick

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, James E. “Zack” Patrick, 90, loving husband of Mrs. Betty Jean Patrick.

Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Jay E. Patrick, Jr. (Teresa) and R. Van Patrick; grandchildren: Emily P. Reavill (Chris), Bobby Patrick (Courtney) and Katie Kennicutt (Daniel); great-granchildren: Blakeley and Colton Patrick, Ellie Kennicut, Harrison, Wells, and Brooks Reavill.

Zack was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He joined the Marine Reserves and served 45 years, including time in the Korean Conflict, retiring as a Sergeant Major. He was a longtime member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, where he married his wife of 67 years. He worked at Savannah River Plant from 1952 until 1994 retiring as a Senior Supervisor. He loved to play golf and often played at the Cabbage Patch with his group, the Dewsweepers. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 10, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Floyd Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
