Wenona Shue McNeal

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, March 9, 2023, Mrs. Wenona Shue McNeal, 82, wife of the late William E. McNeal.

Wenona was born in Spice, WV and was a native of Droop Mountain (Pocahontas County). She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, painting, and gardening in her spare time. She was the most content when surrounded by her family.

Family members include her daughter: Michele M. Hemingway (Doug) of Augusta, GA; granddaughter: Brianne H. Brown (Stephen) of Harlem, GA; great-granddaughter: Madelyn E. Brown of Harlem, GA; her loving nephew: Condall D. Ray (Cathy) of Augusta, GA; and her siblings: Berlene Long of Augusta, GA and Vivian Gibson of Maxwelton, WV. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son: William I. McNeal; her parents: Emery E. Shue and Pearlie B. Williams Shue; and her siblings: Anna Atkins. Daphene Grimes, Irene Shorter, Ella Jo Galford, Darleigh D. Shue, and Edna Ray.

The graveside service will be held Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
