Entered into rest on Thursday, September 22, 2022, Sarah Olivia Rish, 22.
Born in Augusta, Sarah was a lifelong resident of Appling and member of Kiokee Baptist Church. Creative, artsy, and driven, Sarah had a natural tenacity for life. She graduated from Harlem High School and was currently attending Augusta University. Despite all she endured following her diagnosis, Sarah remained faithful and full of grace and strength. She was a beautiful person with a kind heart who loved her family and friends fiercely. In memory of Sarah and her fight against leukemia, please consider donating blood or joining a transplant registry.
Family members include her parents: Ray and Cathy Rish; siblings: Matt Weber, Michele McBride (Nick), and Jennifer Lyle (Travis); niece Hailey Lyle and nephew Leyton Watson; grandparents Mollie and Bill Lane.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 7:00 PM at Kiokee Baptist Church with Pastor Wes Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.bethematch.org or the Georgia Cancer Center at www.augusta.edu/giving/gacancercenter .
