Russell Alsabrooks

Augusta, GA – Mr. Russell Lamar Alsabrooks, 72, entered into rest on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Russell was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, GA who was a graduate of Richmond Academy. He was most recognizable for having worked for his dad’s grocery store, A&M Market, on Central Avenue. He loved history, astronomy, and he was a devoted friend to his neighbors in his longtime apartment community.

He is survived by many cousins and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Lamar Alsabrooks and Betty Hinton Alsabrooks.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 at 3:30 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Fr. Joseph Shippen officiating.
