Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Doctors Hospital, Mr. Robert Reeves Turbyfill, Jr., 79, loving husband of the late Ann Chafee Turbyfill.
Mr. Turbyfill was a lifelong resident of Augusta. He graduated from The Academy of Richmond County in 1966 and Limestone College in 1988. He served as a member of the Limestone University Board of Trustees from 2001 to 2013 and established the Ann Chafee Turbyfill Memorial Endowed Scholarship in honor of his wife.
Mr. Turbyfill was a longtime member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, where he served on the Interior Committee during the church's 1992 completion and refurbishment, as well as the Liturgy Committee. He also participated in Perpetual Adoration from its inception at St. Mary’s.

He especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge of family history with others and preserving those stories for future generations.
