Robert "Rick" Hamilton

Robert (Rick) Hamilton was born on June 1, 1951 in El Paso, Texas, died on August 18, 2026 with his loving wife and family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Joann Hamilton, his brother Ben Hamilton and his nephew Hunter Dalton. He leaves behind the love of his life Margie, his beautiful daughters and granddaughters Tracy (Andy), Courtney, Anna and Ava. His best buddy Lukey will miss him every day.

Rick was an incredible golfer throughout his life. He golfed through high school and played for Augusta College. His talent for golf even followed him as he served his country in the military. Best of all, golf is the reason he met his wife who shared his passion for the sport. They had a golf outing as part of their wedding celebration. Rick won the club championship at every club he belonged to setting records that stand to this day.

Rick had a successful career that included time at Columbia Nitrogen, Vogel, and travel contract work. In his personal life, he was a gifted handyman who never shied away from helping anyone in need. He treasured his times of solitude and peace by walking the banks of the lake with his dog Bengie. Watching his daughters flourish and his granddaughters blossom into wonderfully kindhearted young ladies gave him immeasurable joy.

Rick was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. A celebration of his life will be held there on August 28, 2026. Visitation starts at 12:00 with a service following at 1:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
