Robert Westbrook Hardwick

Robert Westbrook Hardwick, 80, entered into rest on September 22, 2026. Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Robert graduated from Evans High School and attended Andrew College. He was a longtime member of Evans Presbyterian Church.

He was selfless and made it a priority to give to others. He was a loyal friend, deeply patriotic, and always willing to help those around him.

Robert enjoyed working in his garden, fishing, watching the Atlanta Braves, and playing games with his family. He was a very involved father who was present for his daughters and took an active role in their lives. Family was important to Robert, and he cherished the time he spent with them.

Robert worked in the building supply industry for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Hardwick; his three daughters, Paula Watson, Natalie Lee (Phil), and Angela Hardwick; his stepson, Richie Murton (Mandy); and his stepdaughter, Stacy Stafford (James). He is also survived by his grandchildren, John Emory Watson V (Zoe), Davis Watson, Philip Lee Jr., Thomas Lee, and Jacob T. Hutto, and his great-grandchildren, John Emory Watson VI and Carter Watson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Emily Hardwick, and his brothers, George Hardwick and Barna “Mack” Hardwick.

Robert will be remembered as a devoted husband, a dedicated father, and a man deeply committed to God, family, and country.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, GA 30904, with Dr. Brandi Casto-Waters Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Boys Town or St. Jude.
