Augusta, GA – Mr. Richard “Freddie” Jarrell, 86, entered into rest Monday, December 31, 2018.

Freddie was a one of a kind individual. He was a retired jeweler, musician, and fixture on Broad Street. He enjoyed spending time downtown and lived a very simple life. Freddie maintained a happy go lucky and fun loving personality from the beatnik years through his golden years.

Mr. Jarrell is preceded in death by his brother: Thomas “TJ” Jarrell. Surviving family members include children: Joy Lewis (Mike), Clifford Jarrell (Tina), Robert Jarrell (Gail), Debbie Usry (Robert); six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother: Robert “Bob” Jarrell; and several nieces.


Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
