Richard Marion Dunevent

Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Richard M. Dunevent, 86, loving husband of fifty years to the late Frankie Usry Dunevent.

Mr Dunevent was raised in Thomson, GA, but resided in Evans with his beloved wife of 50 years, Frankie Dunevent, who preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the VA Hospital in 2004 where he served as an electrician. He found great joy in restoring Ford Model A and ’57 Chevy Belair cars. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Family members include her daughter: Kim D. Spires (Joe); son: Jason R. Dunevent (Denise); grandchildren: Jessica Spires, Riley Dunevent, Landon Spires, and Skyler Dunevent; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 2:00 at the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Don Prosser officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
