Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, June 27, 2026, Pvt. Darren Travon Moore, 20, loving husband to his high school sweetheart, Iliyah Thomas Moore
Pvt. Darren Moore, an active-duty United States Marine, will be remembered for his faithful service, kind heart, and unforgettable sense of humor. He proudly served his country with honor and dedication while bringing laughter and joy to everyone who knew him. One of Darren's proudest moments was joining the Marines Corps. Darren leaves behind a legacy of courage, laughter, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, fellow Marines and especially by his brother, Justin Jobes and best friend, Pvt. Ja’Mar Jackson. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Darren leaves behind mothers: Ashley Moore and Teeia Jobes; fathers: Alex Williams and Jerry Cullars; siblings: Ryheem Jobes, Justin Jobes, Aaliyah Williams, Alex Williams, Jr., Mukail Eubanks, Layla Drayton, Jakea Shelton, Banz Roberts, Jax Campbell, and Jett Campbell; grandparents: Ronald Moore (Margaret Williams), Arthur Williams, and Joann Hill Benning; auntie: Cathy Stubblefield; Godfather: Anthony Brown; and other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Deborah Moore.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Arthur Jones, eulogist. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Darren’s family would like to give special acknowledgement to Kenye Rhinehart, Patrick Rouse, Stevonn Payne, Devin Baskett, Zack Gordon, Jerry Harvey, Quentin White, Martiese Williams, Lisa White, and Rev. Arthur Jones for their continued support.
