Mrs. Patricia Duffie Rickerson

Grovetown, GA – Mrs. Rickerson entered into rest on Thursday, April 20,2023 at Doctor’s Hospital. Mrs. Patricia Rickerson, 86, was a life-long resident of the Augusta area.

She was employed at the Medical College of Georgia for 15 years and retired in 1998. Pat always enjoyed working puzzles, reading a good mystery book, or spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren as well as playing cards with her siblings. She was a member of New Height Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Edward Rickerson, her parents, Marion Tillman Duffie and Grace Eubanks Duffie, great-grandchild, Devin Richard Grates, and her brother, James Jackson Duffie. Survivors include; three daughters Deborah Ann Barnes, Vicki Diane Wingo, Renee Rickerson all from Grovetown, GA; grandchildren Richard (Laura) Barnes, Vanessa Barnes, Natalie Angel, Marcie (Daniel) Mayne, Dawn Robertson and James Grates; great-grandchildren Landrum Barnes, Wesley Barnes, Kendall Crawley, Hudson Fernandez, Hayven Stringfellow, Colby Angel, Madelyn Wingo, Harper Mayne, Nicholas Dewitt, Austin Robertson; great-great-grandchild, Emory Lucas; two brothers Marion Tillman (Carla) Duffie, David Duffie, and two sisters Peggy Duffie Hunter, Pauline Duffie Campbell; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery on April 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd Green officiating. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907.
