Mrs. Nellie Landrum McNeely,85, entered into rest September 8, 2026.
Nelle, as she was called all her life, is now in the presence of Jesus, her Savior and her beloved husband Wayne of 65 years.
Nelle was a devoted wife to Wayne and a loving and protective mother to her girls Deborah and Joy. She considered herself truly blessed by her sons-in-law Larry (Deborah) and Randall (Joy) and loved them as her own, She was proud to be Grama to Gabbie, John William, and Chloe as well as Great Grama to Ben, Evie, Si, Noelle, Josiah, Caleb, Levi and Peter.
Nelle had a long, successful career in banking and retired from Georgia Bank and Trust. She was respected by her coworkers and loved by her customers. Her true gift and one she used to serve the Lord was Bible study and teaching. She studied hours upon hours preparing her Sunday School lessons and she participated in hundreds of Bible Studies as documented by the countless notebooks she has filled.
Nelle was an excellent cook and baker. She served others by preparing wonderful meals and her pound cake was unbeatable. She loved to crochet and made beautiful blankets and afghans and she also loved to play the piano.
Mrs. McNeely is survived by her daughters Deborah Salley (Larry) and Joy Farrer (Randall); her grandchildren, Gabbie Duvall (Matt), John William Salley (Melanie) and Chloe Farrer; and her eight great grandchildren; her brothers, Joseph Landrum Jr (Connie) and James Michael Landrum (Joyce) and her sister-in-law Brenda Landrum (Robbie Lee -deceased).
