Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, April 24, 2009. Mr. Keith W. Benning, 78, husband of Mrs. Carolyn S. Benning.
Mr. Benning was a retired Attorney, the President of Friendship Community Center, a member of MCG Human Assurance Committee, a graduate of Mercer University Law School, a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, and a member of Greenfield Lodge in Atlanta # 400 F. & A.M. He served in the US Army in Korea in the DMZ.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Ashley Benning and husband Bob Kasenchak of Austin, TX, Kerry Benning Doyle and husband Timothy of Chagrin Falls, OH; son: Douglass R. Benning and wife Rochelle of Tegucigalpa, Honduras; grandchildren: Arthur and Matthew Doyle and Isabella and Nicholas Benning; sister: Catherine Brandon of Stephenville, TX.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity On-the-Hill United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating.
The family suggest, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Friendship Community Center: 1720 Central Ave, Augusta, GA 30904.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, 2009 following the service in the Damren class room at the church.
