Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, July 8, 2021, Michael “Mike” E. Lester, 69, loving husband of Karen Lester for over 48 years.

Mike enjoyed singing and was a member of the church choir. He began his career as a respiratory therapist also serving as a director of cardio-pulmonary services at St. Joseph’s Hospital. His last career was a bio-chemical science teacher at Butler High School. Mike was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter: Heather Lester Morin (Dylan); son: Robbie Lester (Ashlyn); grandchildren: Madelyn, Gavin and Matthew Morin, Abby, Carly, and James Lester; brothers: David Lester (Michele), Daniel Lester (Joy), James Lester (Tina), and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Shirley Lester.

The memorial service will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Scholton officiating.

The family will receive friends July 23, 2021, following the service at the church.
