Melody Laureen Kitchens

Warner Robins, Georgia – Ms. Melody Laureen Kitchens, age 56, entered into rest on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Emory Warner Robins. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Levi Kitchens and Ann Morris Love.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends after the service until 6:00 PM.

She was a native of Augusta, Georgia but recently moved to Warner Robins. She was a 1987 graduate of Butler High School. Melody retired from Wellstar as an accounts receivable clerk with over 25 years of service. Melody has a contagious personality and sense of humor, she never met a stranger and if is often said she would talk to anyone that would listen. She was silly, kind, compassionate and loved everyone. Melody loved animals, and baby Yoda.

Melody is survived by her two sisters, Holly Quarles and husband Bo of Augusta and Heather Ratliff and husband Jeff of Aiken; four nieces, Kelly Youell, Chelsea Youell, Anna Marie Krause, and Hadasah Ratliff; her fiancé Curt Tanquay of Warner Robins. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Sherry Lynn Wright Karaca.
