Melissa Pileggi Grosvenor

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entering into rest on Saturday, September 19, 2026, Melissa Pileggi Grosvenor was born on October 3, 1966 the youngest daughter to Susanna “Suzie” and Frank B. Pileggi Jr. They will welcome Melissa into eternal rest alongside her sister Angela Silverstein and brother-in-law James “Jimmy” Herzberg. Melissa is survived by her two sons Judson Grosvenor and Wyatt Grosvenor; siblings Catherine Pileggi, Frankie B. Pileggi III, Debbie Grimes, Becky Herzberg, Patricia Gueydan, and Michael Pileggi. Melissa will forever live in our hearts and we will be often reminded of her through the selfless acts exhibited during her time spent on earth. She will be deeply missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Road in Augusta, GA on Saturday September 26, 2026 at 11:00 am.

“I will sometimes become sad, Melissa being gone. But I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my Melissa”
