Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Paul’s Church in Augusta, followed by burial in the churchyard, and a reception in the River Room.
Mary Lynn was a devoted wife and mother, a trusted friend to many, a skilled and compassionate nurse, and a light in every room she entered. Born in Athens, Georgia 1980, she attended Clarke Central High School and the University of Georgia before graduating from the Medical College of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. As a nurse and then a pharmaceutical sales representative, she lived in Asheville, NC, Athens, GA, and Madison, WI before returning to Augusta in 2018. She was a member of the Altar Guild of Saint Paul’s Church, a Trustee of the Augusta Museum of History, and many professional boards and organizations. While fighting breast cancer, she achieved the highest award from her employer, Abbvie, Pinnacle Representative of the Year, which she received in May at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years Bill Ford, and her son Bray Ford of Augusta, her father, Jim Williams, of Brunswick, and her sister, Julia Martin (Edward), of Brunswick, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lynn Williams, of St. Simons, and her sister, Catherine Berry, of Athens.
In lieu of flowers, Mary Lynn wished for you to plant something beautiful in your own garden, or someone else’s. Memorial gifts should be made to the Episcopal Youth & Children’s Services Fund of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia or to Saint Paul’s Church in memory of Mary Lynn - gifts will be directed to the EYCS Scholarship Fund.
