Marianne Price Becklund

In loving memory of Marianne Price Becklund

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Marianne Price Becklund, who passed away on October 24, 2026, at the age of 81. Marianne was preceded in death by her husband, William Becklund, and her son, Sean Becklund. She leaves behind her loving family, including her son Anders Becklund and his wife Sherry, her daughter Erica Lopez and husband Jason, and many other family and friends who will cherish her memory.

Marianne was a wonderfully talented artist. She had shown promise from an early age and attended the Pratt Institute in New York. She worked for Vogue magazine and won a number of awards for her works. She went on to own a screen printing business and was able to express her creativity in her designs.

More important than any of this, though, was her impact as a human being. Marianne was incredibly kind and generous. As a mother, she was always supportive and encouraging. She showed her children the value of compassion, empathy and helping those in need. Marianne's love of the arts was also passed down to her children as she wanted them to appreciate culture and different ways of approaching life. This instilled in them a respect for people from all walks of life and a better understanding of their place in the world. Her artistic nature allowed her to see the beauty in everything and everyone. Her positivity and joy will be missed by all who knew her.

In spite of the loss, we find comfort in our faith and the promise of eternal life. We take peace in knowing that God welcomes His children home and that one day we will be reunited with those we love. May God surround her family with His love, grant them strength in the days ahead, and bring peace to their grieving hearts.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” - Matthew 5:4
