Harlem, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, August 30, 2026, Brian John Serakas, 44, loving husband of Jennifer Serakas.
Brian was a loving husband, devoted father, dedicated attorney, and a true patriot. He served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army and retired with the rank of Major. Brian was a lifelong outdoorsman, especially enjoying fishing and hunting. A former high school lacrosse player, he continued his passion for the sport by coaching his sons’ teams and taking great pride in supporting his children. A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Brian was a loyal Ole Miss football fan and enjoyed cheering on the Rebels. Above all, Brian treasured his family. He will be remembered for his love, dedication, strength, and the countless memories he created with those closest to him.
In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his sons: Jackson and Davis; mother: Karin Serakas; brother: Eric Serakas; and mother-in-law: Debbie Pohlman.
He is preceded in death by his father: Kenneth Serakas; brother: Max Serakas; and father-in-law: Robert Pohlman.
The funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Father Mark Ross celebrant. Interment will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee with Full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:15 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, 1420 Monte Sano Ave, Augusta, GA 30904.
