Kathryn Illyn Moore

Mrs. Kathryn Illyn Moore, 70, beloved wife of Dane Moore, entered peacefully into rest at her home on September 4, 2026.

In addition to her husband, Kathryn leaves behind her daughters Emily (Mike) Becker and Sara (Ben) Williams, and seven grandchildren: Patrick, Daniel, Reagan, Brantley, Ryan, Elizabeth, and Marina. She is also survived by two sisters, Amy Holliday and Elizabeth Yount, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexis and Olga Illyn; and by her brother Peter Illyn.

Kathryn’s greatest pride and joy were her two daughters Emily and Sara, along with her devoted husband and best friend Dane. She is remembered as a devoted caregiver, loving mother, and loyal friend. She took immense joy in hosting large family gatherings at her home and delighted in witnessing the growth and accomplishments of her grandchildren.

Kathryn fought a long battle with cancer with an unwavering spirit, drawing strength from her faith in God and the strong support of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Father Vasile Bitere officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park. Luncheon to follow the interment at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
