James H. Stanley

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, January 26, 2024, James Henry Stanley, 73, loving husband of 45 years to Kathy A. Stanley.

James was born in New York, NY to Leo and Margaret Stanley. He served in the United States Navy for four years. James worked as a pulp mill foreman at International Paper before retiring. He was a faithful member of Warren Baptist Church for over twenty-five years. He was also a member of Pinetucky Gun Club and an active member of two bowling leagues.

Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter: Ashley Stanley-Moore (Doug); son: Wesley Reese (TinaMarie Reese); grandchildren: Preston Shockey, Julian M. Reese, III; sisters: Kathleen Kolsko, Kandi Cruikshank, Margie Brown, and Annie Stanley. 

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors.
