Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Mr. James Eugene Carter, 80, of Augusta.
Mr. Carter was a native of Langley, SC and was retired Military. He was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church.
Family members include his nieces: Sondra Blaxton and husband Jesse of North Augusta, SC, Frances Haigwood of North Augusta, SC, Brenda, Cathy and Patty of Alabama and nephew: Tommy Fennell and wife Mildred of Evans, GA.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville, GA.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484. A guestbook may be signed on our site www.thomaspoteet.com
