George William Larmon I

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest peacefully at his home on Monday, September 28, 2026, George W Larmon I, 95.

George loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Warren Baptist Church, where he faithfully worshiped and served for many years. His faith was an important part of his life and was reflected in the love and devotion he showed to his family, friends, and others.

A dedicated career soldier, George proudly served his country for more than 26 years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Three (CW3). He served as a tactical trainer during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, with assignments in multiple stations around the world.

Following military retirement, he pursued a second full and rewarding career in the long-distance transport industry.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing and RV’ing, and could often be found amongst fellow RV-enthusiasts at popular RV rallies in the southeast, where he served on the organizational and planning committees. He especially enjoyed driving his camper to his home state of New York, to participate in reunion celebrations with his extensive family there.

Larmon; grandchildren: Suzi Louise Larmon, Michael Lee Markwalter (Melanie) and Carl Joe Dyson; and great-grandchildren: Alec Little, Shiloh Grey Larmon, Richard Ian Swift, Bryson Connor Roll.
