George Buck

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, George Austin Buck, Jr., 67, loving husband of 44 years to Sherry Rae Buck.

George was a native of Augusta, GA. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He worked as a machinist at Bechtel before retiring. He enjoyed computer games, watching NASCAR, and wrestling. He liked to sit outside on his deck and watch the birds. He had a great love for his family and his grandchildren.

Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Chris Buck (Heather Self) and Amy Buck; grandchild: William Nathaniel Buck; and sisters: Melba Barber and Joyce West. He is preceded in death by his parents: George Austin Buck, Sr. and Mary Buck.
