Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, November 20, 2017, Mrs. Evelyn A. Peters, 96, loving wife to the late Raymond C. Peters, Sr.
Mrs. Peters was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She graduated from Tubman High School and attended Augusta Junior College. She retired from civil service at Fort Gordon as a supervisor. After retirement she worked in sales with the Augusta Shopper Magazine. Mrs. Peters was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and Fleming Baptist Church.
Family members include her daughter: Sandra Peters; sons: Ray Peters, Jr. (Kim) and Randy Peters (June); grandchildren: Jodi Napier, Jami Walden, Kimberli Thomas, Summer Lathem, Kaci Tiller, Beth Bailey, Marsha Dixon, and Derrick Quarles; and 8 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating.
