Elvie Peacock Nicholson

Mrs. Elvie Peacock Nicholson, 84, beloved wife of the late Carl R. Nicholson, entered into rest on September 4, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Dave Dillard and Rev. Steve Murrell officiating. Interment will be private.

Mrs. Nicholson loved the Lord and was a member of Warren Church and was active with the Everette/Tyson Ladies Life Group. After a long career with the Richmond County Probate Court as a clerk, she retired. She also loved spending time with her grandkids and baking, especially her famous pound cakes.

Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her children, Pamela Nicholson Pope (Michael) and James Nicholson; her grandchildren, Evan Pope (McKay), Daniel Nicholson and Emily Nicholson; and her siblings, Janice McFadden and Rene Green. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Nicholson was preceded in death by her parents, Lunae and Beatrice Peacock; and by her brother, Melvin Peacock.

The family would like to thank SouthEast Hospice Care and her caregiver for several years, KeKe Singleton.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Leukemia Association.
