Edward Lee LeBlanc, Sr.

Edward Lee LeBlanc, Sr. was welcomed home on September 28, 2026 after a life well-lived. He was a devoted husband, father, stepdad, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. Eddie did not meet a stranger.

Born in Massena, NY, on July 14, 1946, Eddie was one of seven children of Leon and Marion LeBlanc. Family was a pillar in Eddie’s life. After moving with his family to Augusta, Eddie graduated from Aquinas High School and went on to serve in the Navy from 1966-1968 on the USS Boxer.

With the use of his skilled hands, Eddie built his career. His mechanical talents led him to become a welder and pipefitter by trade. He taught others his craft for 20+ years at Union Local 150 in Augusta, GA. He shared his expertise on the building committee there and led crews at Plant Vogtle and Philadelphia Quartz and worked with contractors throughout the CSRA. Eddie was widely known for his diligent work ethic and for having fun while on the job. He continued to work part-time for Glenn Brown selling Christmas trees and enjoyed working at Nimmer Turf in Evans.

Continually willing to lend a hand, Eddie worked on countless projects for family and friends, whether it was helping with a remodel or a simple home repair. Often volunteering at his church of many years, Grace Baptist of Evans, he was a loyal and faithful member and lovingly known as “Mr. Eddie.” Faith was a cornerstone of his life.

He lived out his faith, bringing joy to others and smiles to children’s faces when for years, he dressed up as Santa for the Special Ed class at North Augusta Elementary. With his beloved wife, Maureen, Eddie enjoyed traveling. They shared the past eleven years together, creating memories and taking countless trips from weekend getaways to international travel. They worshiped together and with their families, they built a beautiful life together. He invested in the life of his family and it showed.

Eddie loved the outdoors, fishing, the Georgia Bulldogs, and an ice cold Polar Pop. Known for his wit, laughter and undying loyalty, Eddie was dearly loved. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

On Monday morning, September 28, Eddie undoubtedly heard the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant” and joined his parents, Marion and Leon LeBlanc, his son, Brian LeBlanc, his first wife, Trisha Johnson LeBlanc, his dear wife of 28 years, Donna Perkins LeBlanc, and his beloved niece, Stephanie LeBlanc.

He was incredibly blessed to find an adoring love and leaves for now, his cherished wife, Maureen Peters LeBlanc, her daughters Beverly Bella (Jeff), Becky (Mike) Service, his children Lee LeBlanc and Kelley Kryshtalowych (Chris), grandson, Collin LeBlanc (Maggie), and grandchildren: McCrae Bella, Mackenzie Service, Nichole LeBlanc, Sofia Kryshtalowych, Maya Kryshtalowych, Jack Kryshtalowych, and three great-grand sons to carry on the LeBlanc name. He also leaves his faithful siblings: Jimmy LeBlanc, Nancy LeBlanc Holley (Bobby), Linda LeBlanc Wandless (Ken), Bruce LeBlanc, Mary Leblanc Krepps (Steve), and Paul LeBlanc (Lynn) and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eddie’s memory to the Wounded Warriors Project or the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 2, 2026 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with the Rev. Bill Hilley officiating. The family will receive guests an hour before the service.
