Carolyn Frances "Fran" Connor

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, July 18, 2026, Carolyn Frances “Fran” Connor, 71, loving wife of the late David Connor.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Fran found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, cheering on the Clemson Tigers, taking trips to the beach, and camping. Fran was a talented artist who loved drawing, had a special place in her heart for animals, and expressed her love through cooking for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her caring heart, creative spirit, and the love she shared with everyone who knew her.

Her family members include her children: Elizabeth Ruegger (Peter), Mary Heist (Shane), and Tommy Gary; grandchildren: Trinity Gary, Thomas Gary IV, Holden Heist, Harrison Heist, Caitlin Ruegger, and Madalyne “Maddie” Ruegger; siblings: Paul Pope (Cheryl) and Patricia White (Barry); and devoted canine companion: Bella.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents: John and Joan Pope; brothers: Christopher Pope and John “Beau” Pope; and canine companion: Valley.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Deacon Daniel Craig officiating.

Flowers will be accepted but memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA
