Brenda Wilson DeCampli, 79, won her victory over this life and claimed her Heavenly home on September 16, 2026. She was born on April 25, 1947, in Athens, Georgia, to Thomas Jackson Wilson and Mary Wilkes Wilson, who preceded her in death.
Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was the greatest joy of her life, and she loved nothing more than spending time with those she loved. She was a wonderful wife to her beloved husband, Michael, and a loving and devoted mother. She was lovingly known as “Nuni” by her 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Brenda was a member of West Acres Baptist Church, where her faith was an important and treasured part of her life. She faithfully served as a choir member, Bible study leader, and AWANA leader and Good News Club leader. Her love for the Lord was evident not only in her service to the church but also in the way she lived her life and cared for others.
Brenda retired from the Medical College of Georgia after a career of dedicated service. She volunteered in the Burn Unit at Chavous House and participated in foreign mission trips.
Brenda loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruising; She also found great joy in taking long walks along the beach. She loved to dance. Her joyful spirit, beautiful smile, and ability to make those around her feel welcome were a gift to everyone who knew her.
As a sister, Brenda was loving, caring, and always there for her family. She treasured the relationships she shared with her siblings and carried that same warmth and devotion into every part of her family life.
Brenda is survived by her beloved husband, Michael; her children, Marion Duffie (Stephanie) of Evans, Georgia; Richard Duffie (Stefenie) of Gastonia, North Carolina; and Michelle Watkins (Chad) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Grandchildren; Andrew Duffie (Leanna) , Zachary Duffie, Allen Duffie, Sandra Duffie, Madison (Emma) Duffie, Daniel Duffie, Christian Duffie, Avery (Bobby) Connor, Evan (Sarah) Kernaghan, Addison Kernaghan, Esther Watkins, Isabelle Watkins, Molly Watkins.
Brenda will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, generous spirit, joyful personality, and willingness to serve others. She was a woman who loved deeply, gave generously, and made her family feel loved and cherished. Her legacy of love and faith will live on through her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She always tried to lead others to Jesus Christ.
