Booker Franklin Marshall

Booker Franklin Marshall (88 years old) of Martinez, GA entered into rest peacefully in the arms of his loving Savior on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. He was a loving husband to the late Mabel Marshall for 49 yrs and his late second wife Etta Smitherman for 7 yrs.

His children include his son Jeffery Marshall (Jackie), his daughters, Bonnie Roberson (Barry), Shannon Marshall Raines (Christopher), Becky Crook and Renee Ashmore (Steve). He was the most loving Grandfather “Papa” to 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. His grandchildren share many loving memories with him. They are Adam Marshall, Erica Saunders (Brandon), Heather Blessing (Rocky), Alexandra Sanders (Daniel), Hannah George (Aaron), Abigail Chiera (Matthew), Brandon Josey (Susan), Lauren Lipscomb (Chad), John Marshall, Cody Crook (Adrien), Jacob Crook, Austin Dressel (Morgan), Garrett Agner and Olivia Agner.

He proudly served in the United States Army for 22 years ranked E8 First Sergeant. He bravely fought in the Vietnam war for three tours and traveled to many countries throughout his Army career. He served in the Civil Service for the VA Hospital for 10 yrs. He held many degrees including a bachelor’s degree in Communications. He was honored with many service awards and received many ribbons!

He loved his Lord Jesus, his family and his church. His favorite hobbies were fishing, listening to live bluegrass music and gardening.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2026 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. at Pine View Baptist Church, 119 Pleasant Home Rd. Augusta, GA 30907 with Rev. John Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Rd., Grovetown, GA 30814. Graveside service will be with full Military Honors.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Pine View Baptist Church in the honor of Booker Franklin Marshall.
